NBA PLAYOFFS 2021
Nets VS Celtics
1st ROUND
Game 1: May 22nd
Well the Celtics were fun to watch while it lasted. Too bad they are getting swept in the 1st round. I believe the Nets are winning the championship this year - they are too talented, experienced, deep, well coached, and determined. I don’t see any team beating them in a 7 game series. The Celtics are without Brown, and will have to rely on Kemba and Tatum. I believe Tatum will put the C’s on his shoulders, but they just won’t be able to keep up with the Nets who continue scoring the ball with any lineup they have out there. I think it will be a close game tonight because the Nets haven’t played with Harden in the lineup a lot and may be shaking off some rust to start, and the determination in the first game by the Celtics to keep it close. Take the Celtics +8, over 232 total points, Kyrie Irving over 23.5 points, and James Harden over 9.5 assists.
Game 2: May 25th
Start Time: 7 pm EST
Venue: Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Where to Watch: TNT
The Nets covered in game 1 after a big 4th quarter from the whole team. The Celtics hung in there most of the game but when it came down to crunch time, the Nets are just too good and too deep. The Celtics had to rely on Tatum and Walker, but also got a big game from Robert Williams on the defensive end. I don’t see the Celtics winning this game, or keeping up with the Nets who I think will get better each playoff game. The more they play together, the better they will get. I think the Nets will win the championship this year - they are just that good and that deep. The Celtics who are without Jaylen Brown and did not have a great season really aren’t a tough matchup for the Nets. I believe the Nets easily win game 2 - we saw 2 blowouts last night and I think we see another in this game. Take the Nets -9, Blake Griffin over 7.5 points, over 227 total points, and Jayson Tatum under 30.5 points.
Game 3: May 28th
Start Time: 8:30 pm EST
Venue: TD Garden, Boston
Where to Watch: ABC
The Nets have dominated the Celtics, and I don’t see much changing tonight. They are too deep and too talented for any team, let alone the shorthanded Celtics who have not played well this season. I do think that Tatum has a big game tonight as he usually does in big games, especially at home. However, the Nets will be too much and once again win by double digits. Take the Nets -8, Jayson Tatum over 28.5 points, and Tristan Thompson over 7.5 points.
Game 5: June 1st
Start Time: 7:30 pm EST
Venue: Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Where to Watch: TNT
The Celtics stand no chance against the Nets without Kemba or Jaylen Brown. Tatum cannot keep up with the Nets by himself. I think he will do everything in his power, but Kyrie, KD, and Harden will dominate another game on their home court. I think this game is a blowout and the Celtics won’t even score 100. Take the Nets -12.5, the under 234.5 total points, and Jayson Tatum under 33.5 points.
