Suns VS Nuggets

2nd ROUND

Game 1: June 7th

I will be shocked if the Nuggets win this series. They have a way of pulling off big upsets, like last year in the bubble when they came back from being down 3-1 in BACK TO BACK SERIES. Crazy. I think the Suns have too much chemistry, depth, toughness, and leadership to lose the Nuggets who are still putting pieces together. Part of the reason the Nuggets won the last series was big games by Austin Rivers and other bench players who I do not think will continue that play against the Suns. I think CP3 will have a great series as the Nuggets don’t really have a true point guard to cover him, so he will be a focal point all series. I think the Suns take game 1 by at least 7 or 8, and will hold the Nuggets to a low scoring game. Take the Suns -5, under 221 total points, Chris Paul over 13.5 points, and Deandre Ayton over 14.5 points.

Game 2: June 9th

Start Time: 9:30 pm EST

Venue: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix

Where to Watch: TNT

Game 1 was a thriller. The Phoenix Suns arena was so loud and so hype when the Suns made that huge run in the 3rd quarter and essentially took the game over. It is really cool to see them play so well and to see CP3 succeed. I think the Suns will win this series but the newly named MVP, Nikola Jokic, will not make it easy for them. If the Nuggets would have stayed composed in the second half and not let the Suns energy and crowd noise get to them, they would have won that game. I think it will be just as tough for them to win game 2 in the same environment - the same thing happened to the Clippers last night in Utah. The Utah crowd was the loudest I’ve ever heard a crowd and it visually affected the Clippers mood and energy. Because of the crowd, energy, momentum, and overall depth of the Suns team, I think they dominate game 2. Take the Suns -5.5, over 223 total points, and Devin Booker over 28.5 points.

Game 3: June 11th

Start Time: 10 pm EST

Venue: Ball Arena, Denver

Where to Watch: ESPN

I like the Suns tonight. They are dominant and too mentally tough and experienced to be phased by a road game. They are led by CP3 who has been there and done that, and Devin Booker who is a cold blooded bucket. I like the winning in 4 or 5, but definitely tonight. Take the Suns +1.5 and under 223 total points.
